We are happy to announce that applications for the annual Global Changemakers’ Euro-Africa Youth Summit for 2012 are now open.

The summit, taking place in Brussels from 24-30 June, will see young people from all over Africa and Europe being brought together to identify and discuss issues currently facing society, after which they will develop action plans to address the challenges.

Applications are open to social entrepreneurs, community activists and volunteers who will be aged between 18-24 on 24 June 2012.

Other criteria:

  • Applicants must be available to attend the summit in Brussels from 24-30 June
  • They must be able to communicate comfortably in English

Interested applicants must submit an application form together with a two-minute video detailing the scope and impact of their community work and, should also detail their motivation for getting involved. Video submission instructions and application forms are available here.

Existing global changemakers who have previously taken part in one of the summits are not permitted to partake in the summit again, but may apply to become peer facilitators at the summit. Applications to become peer facilitators are available here.

All applications close on Sunday 19 February.
